Years ago, I read that the scam was bringing around $250,000,000 (yes, million) into the Nigerian economy very year. That was before the Great Recession and the spread of the scam to other countries.
I've also read that some victims go to Nigeria to try to get their money back and are never heard from again.
$250m!!!! Can anyone really be that gullible?
Apparently, lots and lots of people. It's amazing, but there are billions of people in the world.
I've had emails like these in the past. They must work with some people unfortunately as the emails keep coming.
